Maya Gabeira on the Cover of the Red Bulletin
I remember how impressed I was when I saw Maya for the first time on the Cover of the Red Bulletin. Apart from being a world-class big-wave surfer and therefore being incredible brave, she also has a beautiful body. I know we’ve all seen enough of “the beauty of curvy women” articles in women’s magazines right next to the skinny-models editorial but I think a lot of times more trained bodies are sort of left out. I think this picture really shows how a woman can have muscles and yet be curvy.
Is there anyone, who want to tell me that she’s not terrifyingly sexy?

Soccer Virgin No More

I attended my first soccer match in style. Guess one of the perks in of consulting with Red Bull on the launch of a US sports culture magazine is getting to go to the brand’s cool events. And this past weekend I found myself in a posh suite at the New York Red Bulls opener against the Seattle Sounders. The Red Bull owned team won 1-0.

Can’t say I know much more about the world’s most popular sport, but I did have a good time watching it. Even better was taking in the vibe. From the PATH train ride from WTC to Harrison, NJ (where the stadium is), to the young fans chanting on about new American hero Frenchman Thierry Henry (14), the game fever was palpable.

Can’t wait for the next time.

Danny MacAskill - “Way Back Home”

My Red Bull bias aside (disclosure: I’m helping them launch a magazine in the US next year), this is about as good as it gets in the trick riding short film category. Red Bull BMX wunderkind Danny MacAskill (how does his name end with “skill”?) takes you on a seat of his pants journey across beautiful Scotland.

Gorgeous filmmaking. Great music. Exquisite landscapes. Enjoy.

Coca Cola Burn Ignite “Ride” video (via adnewsaust)

My posting has been slim these days (except on my Facebook), but my friends at Trafik Pictures came across this sick viral. Seems Coke launched a new energy drink in the UK. Are they finally going after Red Bull?

And can somebody please explain how the video above was made?!
